 Governor Strickland visits EBO Group

SHARON CENTER, OH -The EBO Group, Inc. was very pleased to host Ohio Governor, Ted Strickland at its Sharon Center manufacturing facility on Thursday, June 11, 2009. During his visit, the Governor was introduced to the innovative culture of EBO Group and its four subsidiaries. Strickland spent time with Management learning about the history of the company with special attention being paid to the entrepreneurial environment of EBO Group.

After a tour of the facility, Governor Strickland spoke to the employees of EBO Group. Strickland praised them for their work, pointing out how important it is for other Ohio companies to follow the example of EBO Group by reinventing themselves through innovation and diversification.

"We were so pleased to have Governor Strickland visit us. He got a great introduction to EBO Group and some of the innovative products that we make right here in Ohio," said Keith Nichols, President of EBO Group.

As its name suggests, EBO Group, or Excellence By Owners, is dedicated to the concept of employee-owners working toward a common goal of continuous success through excellence at every level of the operation. The EBO Group, currently with 66 employees, is an umbrella organization that is home to four, fully-owned subsidiaries: PT Tech (clutches and brakes for extreme machines); TransMotion Medical, Inc. (mobile, motorized stretcher-chairs); IPESsol (solar mobility devices); and Triton Hybrid Drives, Inc. (electric hybrid drives). All EBO Group employee-owners share in the rewards of the success enjoyed by each of the subsidiary companies.
