4/19/2011 EBO Receives Two Outstanding Safety Awards

April 19, 2011 – Karen Carson, EBO Benefits Manager and Erik Olson, EBO Research & Development Engineer, accepted two Medina County Safety Council Awards for EBO Group at the 56^th Annual Safety Awards luncheon at Weymouth County Club.

The Medina County Safety Council, which is co-sponsored by BWC’s Division of Safety & Hygiene and the Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce, was established to promote education in all areas of safety as it relates to all businesses in the county and their employees. The Safety Council sponsors a safety award campaign to promote greater interest in the prevention of occupational accidents. Companies with the best safety records during the year are honored at this annual awards event. Awards are determined and provided by BWC’s Division of Safety and Hygiene.

Over the past 3 years EBO Group has received the 100% Award for Outstanding Effort by Supervisory Personnel and Employees for operating the entire year without a lost time injury. EBO received the 100% Award again this year!

EBO received, for the first time, the Special Award. This award is for outstanding effort in safety by operating without a lost time accident for at least 500,000 hours and at least six months. This award takes a long time to achieve because of the number of work hours required.
